We never underestimate the importance of your being comfortable inside your home. Comfort is about more than just being cool. Your air conditioner controls the filtration, air movement, temperature and humidity of the air inside your home.

Air conditioning is important for dehumidification as well as cooling.  The refrigeration equipment originally developed by Willis Carrier was almost solely used for dehumidification. Residential central air conditioning systems keep homes cool in the warmer months, and helps control indoor humidity levels. Residential air conditioners today come as mini-splits that cool specific areas, and as central air conditioning systems with ductwork that distributes cooled air to various rooms throughout the home.

Whether your air conditioning system is a variable speed, single speed, mini-split, two speed,  heat pumpgas heat, or any other air conditioner or heater, our professional technicians are trained and ready to help.  For over 29 years, our technicians have been diagnosing, repairing, installing, and replacing air conditioning systems. AirOne trained technicians are experienced on wide range of heating and air conditioning systems.

Today’s air conditioning and heating systems are complex, integrated systems that require well trained, knowledgeable technicians to properly service.  Residential central air conditioning systems keep homes cool in the warmer months, warm in the cooler months, help control indoor humidity levels summer and winter and keep the air we breathe filtered, fresh and clean.  Modern air conditioning systems utilize internally programmed printed circuit boards to achieve and maintain proper operation and efficiency. Residential air conditioners come as mini-split systems that cool specific areas, and as central air conditioning systems with ductwork that distributes cooled air to every rooms throughout the home.

Example of an AirOne Total Report Diagnostic

Air Conditioning systems use a pressurized “refrigerant” to remove the heat from the air in your home as the air is moved past an indoor refrigerant coil. The heat in the refrigerant is then released into the air outside your home.  This refrigerant cycle continues until the thermostat reaches its set-point temperature.

AC Systems are made up of many component parts such as a compressor, a fan, condenser coil, evaporator coil, and the refrigerant. These individual components must work in together properly in order to properly and efficiently cool your home.

The three main sections that make up most split central air conditioning systems are:

Air Handler Repair

Air handlers are the indoor section of air conditioning systems that move air across the indoor an evaporator coil in summer and the electric heat strips in winter. Squire cage blowers, evaporator coils, blower motors, transformers, and control boards are just some of the component parts technicians troubleshoot, diagnose and repair while servicing the air handler portion of your air conditioning system.

Indoor Air Quality

Whole house filtration systems and air purification devices are just two methods of improving indoor air quality.  Other IAQ problems result from energy efficient homes that are tightly sealed. Our technicians can help you minimize the IAQ problems in your home and increase the comfort level of your heating and New Braunfels air conditioning system.

Heat Pump Repair

Heat pumps  use the same equipment that cools your home in summer … to heat your home in winter.  Heat pumps are much more energy efficient at heating New Braunfels homes than traditional electric resistant heat systems. Resistance electric heat is used  with heat pump systems to “back-up” and supplement heat pumps during “defrost cycles” and extreme temperatures. AirOne can troubleshoot and diagnose any heat pump problem you may be having with a New Braunfels heat pump system.  Air conditioning and New Braunfels heat pump maintenance discounts are available to our New Braunfels area customers with our “Comfort Society” maintenance program.

Furnace Repair

Furnaces that burn natural and LP gas are a common fixture in a lot of New Braunfels homes. Using our Total Performance Diagnostic program our trained technicians can insure your furnace is operating efficiently and safely . Burning carbon based fuels creates potentially deadly carbon monoxide so these systems should be inspected annually.  Ask about our “Comfort Society” maintenance program for New Braunfels.

Air Conditioning Ductwork Repair

Most air conditioning systems in the New Braunfels use a series of connected boxes hidden away in attics. generally referred to as ductwork, to move air from the air conditioning equipment and into the different rooms of a house. Many of these  duct systems in the New Braunfels area are old, poorly designed, or have not been inspected in many years. The result is loss of air conditioning system efficiency and capacity of 40% or more. Most home owners recognize ductwork problems as an air conditioning system that no longer cools well on hot summer days, ever increasing air conditioning and heating costs, or uneven heating or cooling between different rooms. Duct systems hidden away in attics should be part of a routine air conditioning inspection and service program.

Air Conditioning System Zoning

Many two story homes in the New Braunfels area suffer from uneven heating between the upstairs and downstairs. Zoning may be the solution.
